Looks Like A Wet End To The Weekend

Well it looks like most of the rain is running South of the Tennessee River today and Saturday should be mostly dry as well. With that said we can still not rule out a renegade shower or storm. The next round of organized showers and storms will be coming in sometime Sunday into Monday as a Coastal Low makes its way out of the western gulf to the north east. It looks like the bulk of the rain will still remain along the gulf and back to the west. The SPC has a 5 day outlook of nearly 8.5 inches near New Orleans, and here in the Tennessee Valley anywhere from 1/2 to 1 inch is possible. And also let us not forget the ones who lost there lives in the attacks on 9-11-01 GOD BLESS THE USA. The above photo (courtesy of Nasa) was taken from the ISS after the plnes hit.

A Day of Remembrance
Visible from space, a smoke plume rises from Manhattan after two planes crashed into the towers of the World Trade Center. This photo was taken of metropolitan New York City the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, from aboard the International Space Station. "Our prayers and thoughts go out to all the people there, and everywhere else," said Station Commander Frank Culbertson of Expedition 3, after the attacks.
