Happy New Year.

Now that 2010 is officially here so is old man winter. The temperature right now in Madison is 36° the temperature either will not rise or actually fall as the cold air advection overcomes any benefits of the sun we should see this afternoon. We should stay dry most of the week but it will be very cold. Our next system should come in by next Thursday and into Friday, the GFS is showing so type winter weather somewhere in the Southeast. Pinpointing exactly where is hard right now this far out but it is there, it depends on the track of the Low. Other long range models shows another possible storm system around the week of the 12th. Watch your thermometer just to see how cold it really gets. Highs in the 30s lows in the teens.
