Here is where I feel like the most snow may occur. Remember that just because an area may say Trace to 2" there may be more or less depending on the bands as they come in. Also do not pay to much attention to forecast totals as the cold weather is going to be the real problem. We will see record breaking cold over the next few days. The forecast lows are near 8 degrees on Saturday morning but with a snow pack we could see below zero temps in some areas, and the wind chill factor will be below zero most all weekend. Please stay of the roads even if we only get a half inch of snow the roads will become impassable. The NWS has all of the Tennessee Valley under a winter weather advisory until late in the day on Thursday. The Snow should start to push into the Shoals area sometime around 10:00am and should be completely out of the area between midnight and 6;00am on Friday.
