Well it has happened a tornado has hit Huntsville Alabama. I started out my chase day and went to the area the SPC had predicted for severe weather and even issued a Tornado watch for that area and what happened BUST. As I arrived back in Madison and unpacked my chase vehicle with pea size hail falling all around me I took one last look at the radar and noticed a hook echo near the Space and Rocket Center and I told my wife they might issue a tornado warning, and as soon as I got it out of my mouth the sirens started. I turned on WHNT and they were showing the tornado as the power flashes started.
