Well it looks as if we here in North Alabama are in for a good soaking over the weekend. We could see at the minimum of 1" in some areas( notice the HPS predictions.) Also another storm system could bring an additional 1"-2" by next Thursday as well.While the high for Madison today was still cool to some at only 44°, it was alot warmer than this time last week. We could very well continue to moderate into the upper 50s to low 60s by next week, but I do warn everyone "DO NOT GET USED TO IT". The Arctic Oscillation Index starts to trend negative again towards the end of the month and into February. February is known to be our coldest winter month so be prepared.
