Showers and a few storms are already firing off to the west, and we can expect more of the same in Alabama today as the heat builds into the upper 80s and low 90s. We are looking at the hottest weekend in quiet awhile with highs near 97 degrees by Sunday. If you do venture out during the heat take the proper precautions.
