Don still heading to Texas with Emily a Good Bet in the Next 48 Hours

Well as you can see Don is still headed towards Texas, the bad thing is it keeps dipping further to the south with each update and if this trend continues most of the parched areas of South Texas will not get much in the way of beneficial rainfall. The rain shield is a lot smaller than the last couple days which is a sign of slight weakening. Now we turn our attention to invest 91L which could become Emily in the Next 48 hours or so. Some models have this storm near Leeward Islands in the next 96 hours, and most intensity models bring this one up to a significant hurricane by then possibly Cat 4. People along the southern tip of Florida and the eastern Florida Coast need to pay attention with this one for now. So stay tuned as Don makes landfall and the possible development of Emily, what could become a major player, but it is to far out to make this one set in stone.

Tropical Storm Headed for the Gulf????????????

Well all signs are pointing that we could have DON on the board sometime today. This system has really intensified over the last 24 hours. As you can see from the spaghetti plots they are mostly in agreement on the track of the system keeping it along the Texas coast anywhere from South Padre Island to Galveston Island. We also not that most models are keeping it below hurricane strength but that can change remember it has been 1047 days since our last US land falling hurricane Ike in 2008. Stay tuned for further developments. Click the title for a IR loop of the system.

2 months 2 weeks later

I know people have seen these videos over and over again, but you need to see them again. I drove through neighborhoods yesterday and yes some are being rebuilt but some still look as if the storms came through just a few days ago. Help is needed to clean these areas and to help these people effected move on. Yes 2 of these are from 2 different tv stations but once this happen we all became one family. It still brings tears to my eyes to see the damage in these areas.

Isaiah 41:10
Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
